OneStep® is the second generation of obturators from CMS Dental. The product was developed due to a request from dentists who wanted an obturator without a handle. It gave them a better working area and space to perform the treatment.
OneStep® obturator consists of a radiopaque plastic core surrounded by natural thermoplastic gutta-percha. The plastic core is available in ISO sizes # 20-60.
Root canal filling with OneStep® is easy and provides a perfect apical seal. OneStep® can be used for root canal fillings instrumented with traditional hand files as well as with all known rotary file systems on the market.
Why?
It is a quick, easy and safe method. Why is it?
Because the solid core ensures: a) That gutta-percha gets right down to the apex. b) That a certain lateral pressure is applied, forcing the gutta-percha into lateral canals and outlets.

Fast:
Warming up an obturator takes 1 min.
Up to 4 obturators can be hung in the oven at a time.
It takes 5-10 seconds to insert an obturator.
Easy:
You hold the handle with the tweezers so that the tip of the tweezers corresponds to the working length before placing it in the oven. Then simply insert it. Once the gutta-percha has hardened - it takes 3
minutes - cut the core to the measured root length. The rest of the core and gutta-percha remain in the root canal.
